Director disqualification wording on A&D and written decisions — reading only
When the Traffic Commissioner publishes curtailment, revocation or inquiry decisions, the papers may discuss director disqualification, undischarged bankruptcies, or repute findings by name. This guide helps you read that wording on public documents — cite as printed, do not infer outcomes not stated. Not licensing advice.
Where disqualification wording appears
- Weekly A&D entries — usually brief; may reference inquiry listed or repute “to be considered” on application lines.
- Public-inquiry written decisions — often contain narrative findings on directors, partnerships, or transport managers — see how to read a written decision.

Phrases to read literally
Published papers may include wording such as:
- “Disqualification order dated …”
- “Director … disqualified from acting as a director”
- “Repute — not satisfied” / “repute impaired”
- “Undischarged bankrupt”
- “Fit person test — failed”

Reading checklist
- Identify document type: A&D weekly line vs written decision — which document.
- Search for disqualification, bankrupt, repute, unfit.
- Note named individuals exactly as printed (redact when you forward externally if required by your policy).
- Read the order section — what happens to the licence, not only the findings narrative.
- Do not treat “application received” as a repute outcome — status words guide.

Does director disqualification always appear on an A&D entry?
Not on every line. Simple application received entries may not mention repute. Public-inquiry written decisions and curtailment or revocation entries often discuss director conduct, disqualification orders, or repute in detail. Read the document type first.
